Our Trust & Safety Policy
ProConnekts is more than a directory β every provider on the platform is verified, tracked, and accountable. Here's how we keep both homeowners and providers safe.
Last updated: June 1, 2026
How we verify every provider
Before a provider can receive a single lead through ProConnekts, they pass a multi-step verification:
- Business identity. We confirm the registered business name, primary contact, and physical service area against public Florida records.
- License check. For trades that require a Florida license (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, general contractors), we cross-reference the license number against the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR) database. Expired, suspended, or null licenses are rejected.
- Insurance proof. Providers upload a current general liability insurance certificate. ProConnekts staff reviews it before approval.
- Phone verification. The provider's business number is validated via SMS so we know we can reach them when a lead lands.
Ongoing accountability
Verification at signup isn't enough. We continuously track every provider's real-world performance and adjust their visibility accordingly:
- Response speed β how quickly they reply to new lead alerts.
- Job completion rate β accepted leads that turn into completed jobs.
- Verified customer reviews β only from confirmed, ProConnekts-tracked jobs (no review bombing, no fake five-stars).
- Reliability β consistency during their stated business hours.
These four factors drive a Quality Score visible on every provider profile. Providers with low scores get fewer leads. Providers with serious or repeated issues are removed from the platform.
Homeowner protection
- No payment through ProConnekts. We don't take a cut of your job. You pay the provider directly, with the terms you agree on. We're paid by providers for the leads we send, not by you.
- Free quotes always. Every provider on ProConnekts agrees to free, no-obligation estimates before any work begins.
- Your phone number is never sold. Providers see only the contact info you choose to share, and only for the specific job you requested.
- Report a problem any time.Use the "Report" button on any provider profile, or email us at safety@proconnekts.com. Reports go to our Trust & Safety team for review within one business day.
Provider protection
- Real leads only. Every lead is pre-qualified and phone-verified before reaching you. We block obvious spam, fake numbers, and lead-broker farms.
- Lead credits for bad leads. If a lead turns out to be fake or the customer ghosts you immediately, we credit it back. No fighting with support.
- Customer dispute escalation. If a homeowner refuses to pay for completed work, we'll help mediate or remove their reviews per our policy.
- No public phone numbers.Your business number isn't exposed on your public profile β customers reach you through a tracked callback request so you stay in control.
Dispute resolution
If something goes wrong on a job β incomplete work, unprofessional behavior, damage, billing dispute β both sides can open a case with us. Process:
- Submit a report through the platform (homeowner) or your dashboard (provider) within 30 days of the incident.
- We review the case within 2 business days, including job history, communications, and photos.
- We contact both parties for their side and propose a resolution. This may include a refund credit, review removal, account suspension, or formal recommendation.
- For unresolved disputes involving licensed trades, we can refer the case to the Florida DBPR or, where applicable, the local Better Business Bureau.
Reporting a safety issue
If you experience or witness anything urgent β fraud, threats, unsafe work, misrepresentation of license/insurance β report it right away:
- Email safety@proconnekts.com
- Call our trust line: (239) 490-9040
- For emergencies or crimes in progress, call 911 first, then contact us.
Urgent reports are reviewed within 4 hours. All other reports within 1 business day.
Updates to this policy
We update this policy as the platform grows. Material changes will be announced on the homepage and emailed to active providers. Continued use of ProConnekts after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
